(DailyDig.com) – President Biden has been pushing for his massive Build Back Better (BBB) bill for months. The bill struck several obstacles in both the House and the Senate along the way. Democrats did manage to force it through the House — but not before several critics spoke out.
Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) recently recalled an incident in which she spoke to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) about the potential passing of the Build Back Better (BBB) bill. She allegedly looked Pelosi in the eyes and told her “hell no,” sarcastically wishing the speaker luck in getting the bill through the Senate at the same time.

The Senate recently rejected Build Back Better after Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) declared his intention to vote against it, citing fears about how its cost might impact inflation.
Senator Manchin’s position shouldn’t come as a surprise. He first made his position clear on the matter shortly after Biden announced the plan.
Cammack says she expected the BBB to fail from day one. She feels Democrats attempted to use budget reconciliation to bypass the need for a supermajority vote and force the bill through despite other leaders expressing serious concerns about its price point.
While the new BBB bill is significantly smaller than its predecessor, Cammack says that it does little to change the fact that the Biden administration is creating new government programs at an unprecedented rate. She accused Democrats of chasing hyper-progression at any cost, fearing that once these programs begin, they’ll never come to an end.
