Five Children Killed in House Fire

(DailyDig.com) – On the evening of December 16, a fire swept through a two-level duplex in Bullhead City, Arizona, killing five children. Tragically, the father had left the children alone while he went shopping for groceries and Christmas gifts.

Police in Bullhead City (BCPD) have confirmed that four of the youngsters killed in the fire were siblings. The fifth child was the siblings’ relative and was visiting with them at the time of the tragedy. He was eleven years old.

Mayor Steve D’Amico of Bullhead City has offered words of consolation to the Arizona community. He expressed his sincerest sympathies to the families of the youngsters tragically lost in the fire on behalf of the people of Bullhead City. Everyone in the community is mourning their loss with them.

The victims were unable to escape the house because of the fire, according to the BCPD. They said the fire began downstairs in the foyer and spread up the sole staircase inside. Within moments of reaching the site, fire personnel succeeded in putting out the primary source of the fire, but unfortunately, not one of the children was able to survive, according to the BCPD.

D’Amico expressed gratitude to the BCPD, the firemen who put out the fire, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), which is investigating the incident to determine the cause. In addition, he informed the city that River Fund Inc. has launched a campaign to formally donate to the impacted families.

During the weekend, a friend of the mother of the four siblings raised almost $16,000 for the parents whose children were lost in the house fire through a GoFundMe webpage.

According to D’Amico’s announcement, a candlelight vigil was conducted at 6 p.m. on December 20 in honor of the five youngsters who tragically lost their lives. The vigil is a place for everyone to gather and mourn in peace. Additionally, he emphasized the need to show respect to the relatives of the victims while the community mourns.
