(DailyDig.com) – Chris King, 32, a rapper, was shot fatally in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 20. The Nashville police reported that it was initially a robbery by three young men, but it turned into a shooting. King was with friends, some of whom sustained injuries.
In their press release, the police stated that King and his friends were in an alley in Nashville’s downtown area when the men approached them. One of the victims of the shooting said that they were just hanging out with the young men when he then heard a gun being fired, and he was hit.
King was rushed to the hospital, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but was unable to be revived.
According to an official report, Nashville’s homicide detectives have been working off active and strong leads in order to find the men involved in King’s shooting death. They released a notice to the public that they were looking out for Adrian Cameron, Jr., age 19, who was released from jail after paying a bond. He was a suspect in the murder of Josh Evans, age 50, in September 2021. Police officers believe the murder happened during a drug-buying attempt.
Police said the suspect’s identity was known by the ankle monitor he wore after paying his bond. The evidence indicated the removal of Cameron’s monitor following the incident with King.
After the reports of their friend’s death, many of King’s famous friends posted tributes to their rapper friend.
Justin Bieber, King’s old roommate from more than ten years ago, posted a message expressing his hurt over this tragic news. He said that he loved him and asked his fans to pray for his family. He concluded his post by saying that he would see King again in paradise.
Another rapper, Trippie Redd, said their friendship was close, and they felt like twins as he wrote that they would meet again.
King’s rap work includes his popular “Luck of the Snotty” series. On April 8, he released “Seeing Double Seeing Double.”
