Celine Dion's Sister Gives Tragic Update on Her Condition

(DailyDig.com) – Celine Dion’s health is becoming worse, and it was already quite bad. Her sister, Claudette Dion, reports that the singer’s inability to regulate some bodily movements has persisted a year after she revealed her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis.

Celine came forward about her diagnosis with an uncommon neurological illness in December 2022. One individual in a million, she added, suffers from this very unusual neurological condition.

According to Claudette, Celine is unable to control her muscles. This development devastates her, despite her self-discipline and perseverance throughout her life. The return to performing is the ultimate aim of Celine and her ambitions, she said. However, it is unclear what function the return will take.

The Dion family is praying that scientists will discover a cure for this terrible disease, Claudette informed the media earlier this year. She lamented the fact that medical science has not progressed far enough to find a cure for the illness. This is the most disturbing part of the ordeal, she said. Scientists have not conducted much study on this matter since it affects a small percentage of the population (a single person in one million instances).

Stiff-Person Syndrome is another symptom that Claudette explained, drawing a comparison to those who often wake up in the middle of the night due to leg cramps. The person can feel it in every muscle, however. Both the vocal cords and the heart are muscles. Nobody can console Celine or help her through this difficult time to ease the pain.

According to Claudette, family members are now taking care of their sister while receiving treatment from the medical community in the Las Vegas region.

While the Grammy winner prioritizes relaxation, she recently had the opportunity to enjoy spending quality time together with her children, twins Eddy and Nelson, who are 13 years old, and René-Charles, who is 22 years old and was born to her late husband, René Angélil. In a hockey game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Vegas Golden Knights, Celine and her boys made their way to the arena on October 30.
