Clint Eastwood Pays Tribute to Partner Christina Sandera

(DailyDig.com) – Clint Eastwood released a statement on July 18 to announce the death of his decade-long, 61-year-old companion, Christina Sandera.

Eastwood, 94, stated that she was a caring, lovely woman that he will miss immensely. They maintained a discreet relationship, with a Warner Bros. spokesperson promising to release no additional information or cause of her death.

The two had reportedly met when Sandera worked at his Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, Mission Ranch Hotel as a hostess in the hotel restaurant. In 2014, they began dating.

She had been a resident of Carmel for a long time, and Eastwood had been mayor briefly in 1986. Although Sandera was not a part of the entertainment business, she was with him for several of Eastwood’s ceremonies. In 2015, she accompanied the mayor of Carmel to the Academy Awards ceremony. At that time, “American Sniper,” directed by Eastwood, had been nominated for six awards, including one for the Best Picture Oscar.

Sandera also attended the red carpet events for other Eastwood-directed movies, such as “Sully” in 2016, “The 15:17 to Paris” in 2018, and “Richard Jewell” in 2019. She also attended the red carpet event for “The Mule” in 2018, which Eastwood starred in and directed.

Eastwood’s other relationships included two marriages, a domestic partnership, and some half-decade relationships. In 1953, he married Maggie Johnson, who was a model. They separated in 1964 and finally divorced in 1984. His second marriage was to Dina Ruiz, a news anchor, in 1996, and they divorced in 2014.

He and Sondra Locke, a stuntwoman, had a 14-year domestic partnership when they shared credits together in six movies. His relationship with Jacelyn Reeves, a flight attendant, from 1985 to 1990 produced two children, Scott and Kathryn. Eastwood then had a five-year relationship with Frances Fisher, an actress, which saw them acting in four movies together.

Currently, Eastwood’s movie, “Juror No. 2,” his 40th movie as the director, began in 2023 and is still in post-production.
