Drake's Mansion Tarped Off After Security Guard Gets Shot

(DailyDig.com) – An incident at the singer Drake’s Canadian home resulted in the shooting and injury of one of his security guards. The incident occurred outside the mansion on the morning of May 7.

The police were called about 2 a.m. on May 7, and when they arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from a wound and sent him to Sunnybrook Hospital. The security guard, 48, sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including an injury to his upper chest. The police confirmed that he was outside the house’s gates at the time of the shooting. Paul Krawczyk, the inspector, stated that he is receiving treatment for his severe wound. He also said it was not confirmed as a drive-by shooting.

According to Drake’s representative, he was not injured and may not have been at home when the shooting occurred.

By that morning, the police had placed tape around the house’s entrance in the Bridal Path area of Park Lane Circle. The police were still in attendance to inspect the scene. Social media posts showed photos and details, revealing that the presumed suspect fled the scene in the same vehicle that arrived at the house.

Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, is a famous hip-hop star of this century. He has garnered 13 number-one hit singles and nine US platinum albums, with his hits reaching a global audience.

A public feud between Drake and another rapper, Kendrick Lamar, had been ongoing prior to the shooting. It involved increasingly contentious insults thrown back and forth between them, along with trading barbs in their music, the latest being increasingly vicious allegations. The claims of violence that they said the other person perpetrated escalated into criminal accusations.

Three years prior to the current shooting incident, a woman allegedly used a knife to assault one of Drake’s security guards in front of the mansion in Toronto.
