(DailyDig.com) – Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a star of “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup,” announced on a July 9 YouTube video that she is going to have her first baby.
She is a 32-year-old woman who accused her mother, Dee Dee, of medical abuse and was found guilty of being involved in her murder in 2015. She was remanded to the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri to serve her 10-year sentence. In December 2023, having served the required minimum of seven years for her role in her mother’s murder, she was released.
While in prison, she wed Ryan Scott Anderson, but they separated in March. She then went back to her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker. Anderson spoke with the news media after Blanchard announced her separation from him. He told them in an interview that he was unaware of her plan to leave him.
During the initial separation, Blanchard claimed her relationship with Urker was just a friendship. The friendship then grew into a more serious relationship.
Blanchard revealed that she and her partner, Urker, had not planned their pregnancy. However, they both welcomed the unexpected news with joy. She said the expected due date is January 2025.
In her video, she expressed her emotional longing to provide her child with what she never had as a child. Her trial revealed that Blanchard’s childhood was filled with hardships. She was confined to a wheelchair as an invalid due to the illnesses her mother inflicted on her as a healthy child by administering large amounts of medication. She shaved her head and told everyone that she had muscular dystrophy and leukemia.
By the time Blanchard became a young adult, she realized what was happening to her. She convinced her boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, whom she met online, to come to their Springfield, Missouri, home to kill her mother.
As Blanchard’s video progressed, she discussed her journey, acknowledging that she might not be ready to be a mother, but then, what woman truly knows if she is ready?
