Matt Ulrich, Super Bowl Champ, Dies at 41

(DailyDig.com) – The proprietor of the Indianapolis Colts, Jim Irsay, announced on November 8 that former Super Bowl champion and offensive lineman Matt Ulrich has died. He was 41 years old.

The cause of his death remains undisclosed.

Irsay delivered the statement in which he expressed his profound sorrow over Ulrich’s death. Although he only spent two seasons with them, Matt left an indelible mark on many of them. He was a wonderful individual, and he had also heard that he was an excellent father. He further stated that he had been a Super Bowl champion. He extended his condolences to the Ulrich family.

Ulrich, a native of Illinois, captained the Northwestern University football team in 2004 before signing as a free agent without being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts the following season. He participated in five games during that season and five games during the 2006 season. The offensive lineman was a member of the 2006 Colts squad that defeated the Chicago Bears when they played them in the 2007 Super Bowl game. Peyton Manning captained the Colts for that Super Bowl season.

After leaving the NFL, he co-founded DexaFit, an enterprise that provides body analysis through the use of technology. Additionally, he served as a partner and chief growth officer for the firm Profitable Ideas Exchange, an organization that assists companies in navigating the complexities of their respective industries and increasing their growth.
