NFL Scores Monster Ratings Amid Swift Presence

(DailyDig.com) – With Taylor Swift in the stands, NBC’s “Sunday Night Footballaveraged 27 million people across all platforms on Sunday to watch the game between the New York Jets and the Kansas City Chiefs. Swift has been romantically connected to Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end, since she showed up to the NFL game last Sunday.

The network saw a 24 percent rise in viewers of the game, aged 18 to 49, and a 34 percent increase in women viewers aged 35 and older. Females in the age range of 12 through 17 have increased their “Sunday Night Football” viewing by 53% above the three previous Sunday night games.

As for the increase in female viewers, many attribute it to the fact that Swift attended the game with a group of famous friends, including Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, and Blake Lively.

There was an increase in female viewers of around 2 million. This is probably due to the appearance of Swift, who attracted attention because of the relationship rumors surrounding Kelce and the “Shake It Off” singer.

The average number of viewers for the broadcast was 24.83 million, up 19 percent over the same period in 2022. Even though the Chiefs’ game against the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium on September 7, 2023, attracted 27.5 million people across all platforms, this game on October 1 was the most viewed by a TV-only audience.

NBC claims that 1.85 million people watched the game online through NFL Digital platforms, Peacock, and NBC Sports on Sunday. The Sunday game’s streaming viewership is the network’s highest record for a regular-season game.

Swift’s participation was her second at a regular-season NFL game this year. The first came last week, when she sat next to Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, in his suite at the Chiefs’ stadium, shocking spectators. After a tough game against the Bears of Chicago, the Chiefs came out on top, 41-10.
