Princess Kate Discharged From Hospital Post-Surgery

(DailyDig.com) – According to Kensington Palace, the Princess of Wales’s office said on January 29 that the royal returned to Windsor 13 days after her successful abdominal operation on January 16 at a private London facility.

The Princess and Prince are very grateful to everyone at The London Clinic, particularly the committed nurses, for the treatment they have given, and Kensington Palace has reported that she is making excellent progress. The statement went on to say that the Royal family is still very appreciative of all the prayers and messages of support they have received.

Prince William’s (the future king of Britain) wife, Kate, had scheduled an abdominal operation for an unidentified issue on January 16. While the palace did confirm that her illness was not malignant, they did not elaborate on why the treatment was necessary.

According to the latest medical advice, the princess, 42 years old, formerly known as Kate Middleton, has decided to postpone any public appearances until shortly after Easter, which is this year on March 31. When Kate was hospitalized, the palace announced that William would postpone future international visits and pull back from certain obligations to allow him to devote his full attention to the couple’s three young children.

Similarly, King Charles III had an enlarged prostate procedure while hospitalized at the same facility. On January 17, doctors identified a benign illness following the monarch’s unexplained symptoms at the age of 75. Doctors advised him to avoid scheduling any events and to get plenty of rest before the procedure, which concluded on the afternoon of January 26.

Following the scheduled medical treatment, the monarch received his release from the hospital and has delayed further impending public appearances in order to provide for a time of quiet rehabilitation, according to a statement released by Buckingham Palace on January 29.

In keeping with public health recommendations, the monarch chose to publicize the operation ahead of time in the hopes that other men would have their prostates examined as well.
