Request for Biden’s Delaware Home’s Visitor Logs

(DailyDig.com) – Rep. James Comer wrote to Ron Klain, the White House chief of staff, to obtain Joe Biden’s Delaware residence’s visitor logs, where multiple sensitive documents were located.

It was revealed in January 2023 that prior to the midterm election in November 2022, three sets of papers, including classified documents, had been located at Biden’s Delaware home and his workplace when he was Obama’s Vice President. The letter requested visitation records from January 20, 2021, to the present by January 30.

On Sunday, Jan. 15, Comer told CNN that House Republicans didn’t trust the DOJ to investigate the sensitive information found in Biden’s unsecured locations. On Friday, the House Judiciary Committee sought Garland’s records and information on the appointment of special counsel Richard Hur to investigate the issue.

A Freedom of Information Act request for visitor logs from Biden’s workplace properties was denied by the Secret Service in October 2022, stating they didn’t find any responsive records. White House spokesmen have justified Biden’s refusal to provide visitor records, saying it would largely reflect the president’s family visits.

Comer said that Biden’s personal attorneys and White House officials had access to confidential data without security clearance, and they are continuing to search for more records.

“It is troubling that classified documents have been improperly stored at the home of President Joe Biden for at least six years, raising questions about who may have reviewed or had access to classified information,” Comer wrote in his letter to Klain.

In his letter, Comer questioned if President Biden’s handling of sensitive documents harmed national security. Without a list of his visitors, the American citizens will never know who accessed these critical papers. The Committee requests clarity into whether Biden family members with connections to foreign entities had access to Biden’s house and the confidential materials he mismanaged for years.

In the letter, Klain was asked to give any papers and correspondence related to the searches of Biden’s residence for classified information, including the dates and the names of the people who helped with the searches, in addition to the visitor logs.
