Ryan Seacrest's Final ‘Live’ Airdate Set

(DailyDig.com) – The day that will mark the end of Ryan Seacrest’s tenure on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” has been scheduled.

On Friday, April 14, the longstanding host will make his last broadcast on the ABC program he has hosted for many years. The following Monday, April 17, his replacement, Mark Consuelos, who is also married to Kelly Ripa, will take over the show. The program will officially be rebranded as “Live with Kelly and Mark after Consuelos starts his tenure as host.

Ripa expressed her deep appreciation for having been able to spend the previous six years with her longtime friend Ryan. She said that Ryan’s enthusiasm, drive, and dedication to the arts are unparalleled.

For Seacrest, working with Kelly for the last six years of hosting the morning show has been a career highlight. While they will always be a part of each other’s lives, he will “miss our mornings together,” since she has been such a wonderful companion, colleague, and friend.

The whole cast and crew, including Michael Gelman, deserve his gratitude, he said. They’ve made friends for life, seen wonderful things, and been welcomed into the American homes of many fans with open arms. He stated that it had been an amazing journey, but he was ready to hand over the reins to Kelly’s true husband, Mark.

In 2017, when Michael Strahan made an unexpected departure from the morning program, Seacrest began appearing alongside Ripa. For the course of the last six years, Consuelos has stood in for Seacrest when necessary. Ripa has been presenting the show since her debut in 2001, when she was first paired with Regis Philbin.

In order to fulfill his hosting responsibilities for “Live” and “American Idol,” Ryan Seacrest has been traveling back and forth between LA and New York. As a result of this transfer, he will continue to reside in the Los Angeles area.
