Snoop Dogg Makes Shocking Stance Change on Trump

(DailyDig.com) – Despite their 2007 bonding on “The Apprentice,” Snoop Dogg and the former president Trump’s relationship has been tense ever since. Their strange connection struck rock bottom when Snoop published the Trump-bashing tuneM.A.C.A. (Make America Crip Again)” when Trump was in the White House.

It was no secret that Snoop Dogg was not a fan of Trump’s ideology. When he released “Lavender,” the music video with BADBADNOTGOOD in 2017, only seven months before “M.A.C.A.,” he provoked the former president’s ire. The footage showed Snoop aiming his firearm at a clown who looked like Trump and exposing a red “BANG” flag as he fired the trigger.

According to Snoop Dogg, who made reference to his song “M.A.C.A. (Make America Crip Again)” in a statement, some people think we should make our country great again. However, when he hears that phrase, it always makes him think of segregation, so he’d rather hear “Make America Crip Again.” He said that this refers to a period in his life when young black males in economically depressed places banded together to support one another and their communities after society had abandoned them.

However, Snoop discussed his apparent shift in opinion toward the ex-president in a recent interview. It seems like one of Trump’s last actions as president affected him deeply. Reportedly, Snoop said that Trump owes him nothing. As a matter of fact, he has really benefited himself personally.

He then referenced the pardon of Michael Harris by Trump. Death Row Records signed Snoop at the start of his music career in 1993, and in 2022, the rapper bought out the label’s repertoire.

Following his 1988 conviction for narcotics charges and attempted murder, Michael Harris, a co-founder of Death Row Records, served time in prison. Despite the victim’s recantation, which led to the dismissal of the murder case, Harris served a 30-year prison sentence on the accusation of narcotics until Trump granted him a pardon.

Now Snoop Dogg has spoken out about his admiration and affection for Donald Trump.
