Stacey Abrams INVESTIGATION Requested — Shady Link Reported!

Stacey Abrams Investigation Requested

A former senator has asked Georgia authorities to urgently investigate a left-wing voter registration group. Controversial gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams runs the New Georgia Project, and it’s raised millions to promote non-white voting — but serious questions about its finances exist.

In 2013, voting rights activist Stacey Abrams formed the New Georgia Project, which aims to boost minority voting. Over the last nine years, the project has been closely linked with both Abrams and Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA), who ran it from 2017 to 2019.

In the run-up to Tuesday’s midterms, the PAC was working hard to mobilize black voters to support Abrams and Warnock — but just days before the election, a former GOP senator sounded alarm bells and called for an urgent investigation into its financial activities.

Kelly Loeffler, who was appointed to the Senate in 2020 and served until Warnock replaced her in 2021, is the founder of the voter registration group Greater Georgia Action. On November 7, she asked the Georgia Government Transparency & Campaign Finance Commission to investigate the New Georgia Project, which has raised around $25 million — but fired its financial officer in June after he warned the group’s bosses that their financial plans were potentially illegal.

In August, the state ethics commission found that the Project had probably broken the law by not declaring $3 million in funding for Abrams’s 2018 gubernatorial campaign. Two other groups founded by Abrams are also under suspicion for funneling donations to her team, while a charity linked to Warnock is being investigated for evicting its housing tenants.

Now, Loeffler is calling on state authorities to urgently investigate what the Project is doing with its money. “Georgia’s elections are determined at the margin,” she warned. “The illegal influence they could be generating here needs to be investigated.”

At the time of publishing, Abrams has been declared the loser in the race for governor. The Senate race between Warnock and Republican challenger Herschel Walker is still too close to call.
