Beloved Actor’s Death Mocked by Ex-“SNL” Writer

(DailyDig.com) – Disgust has been aroused since comedian Kevin Brennan celebrated the unexpected death of “Friends” actor Matthew Perry. Brennan even said that he likes it when addicts die.

Despite receiving criticism for his comments made shortly after news of the beloved actor’s death on October 28 spread, “Misery Loves Company” podcast host and former “SNL” writer Brennan, 63, seemed to relish the uproar, seeking to see if he was trending on social media.

After being called out for mocking Perry’s death, the podcaster stood by his comments. He said he wasn’t making fun of it. He only found it humorous.

When a social media user expressed sadness over Perry’s death and expressed hope that Brennan would be spared from contracting the same sickness, Brennan responded that he really thought it sounded like fun. Someone else said they hoped he felt well soon since someone who posts only bad comments must be ill. Brennan sarcastically thanked him.

When another user of social media questioned him about why he found Perry’s death so amusing, he said it was because dying in a hot tub is not that deep.

In the meantime, “Saturday Night Live,” where Brennan had worked, honored the late “Friends” star shortly after his death. The actor’s name and a picture of him were displayed on the screen during the network’s sketch show.

Perry, 54, was discovered dead in his jacuzzi on the afternoon of October 27. His property is located in the affluent Los Angeles area of the Pacific Palisades. According to law enforcement officials, paramedics responded to a call reporting a cardiac arrest and hurried to the location. Who called emergency services is presently unknown. According to the sources, there was no evidence of drug use or criminal activity at the location.

On Sunday, the Medical Examiner’s Office of Los Angeles County verified that an autopsy had been performed on the deceased actor. However, the doctor has requested more testing, which may take a few months and may include toxicology. The determination of the reason of death has been postponed.
